If we took away their gas cards and they had to pay for their own gas, like everyone else?Would Congress still oppose drilling for oil...?
If enough incumbents were thrown out off office next election because of high energy prices, they'd be begging Exxon/Mobil to dig on their front lawns.


You see, congress doesn't give a damn about anything or do anything unless their political careers are in jeopardy. Then, they were for ( or against it) all along.

Probably the Dems would, until they have accomplished their ultimate goal, as Rep. Maxine Waters almost ';let the cat out of the bag'; a couple of weeks ago, of ';social-i-i-i, er, that is . . . taking over';, the major oil companies as part of their overall plan to establish a Socialistic/Communistic dictatorship to supplant our current system of a Representative Democracy!
It might stun them for a few seconds, but they'd just vote themselves a pay raise and get on with the business of ';protecting the environment'; at the expense of the economy.
Well, they'd be in favor of Health Care reform if that had to pay for that, too.
Oh sure they would. The lobbyists won't let them get too far.
