Why would he? With Obama, we will make real strides in becoming energy independent. We will rely increasingly on green energies.

That's a little extreme to suggest. Obama has clearly stated that he would deal with some of our less-than-friendly fellow nations with diplomacy. Specifcally, diplomacy without any preconditions. If he felt it was siphoning money from Florida and America's economy he'd probably talk it out. Also, speaking from a legal standpoint, oil belongs to the first person to drill it.
