Can domestic drilling replace the supply of oil needed by the U.S?

no, not even close

.Can domestic drilling replace the supply of oil needed by the U.S?
If the oil companies were allowed to develop the oil shale that exists in the US, we would be completely free of foreign oil.

If we were allowed to convert coal to gasoline as the Germans did in WWII and South Africa does now, we would be totally free of foreign oil.Can domestic drilling replace the supply of oil needed by the U.S?
Both Canada and the United States have a 100 year supply of oil. Oil won't last another 10 years so why bother ruining our nature with domestic drilling, by ruining i really mean ruining. It is not worth it.
yes, easily, if we reduce consumptive demand. energy is a complex economy, and demand for oil depends not only on price but on the availability of alternatives.
