If oil was not drilled and removed from the earth, what would have happenned to the areas that had that oil?

What would happen to the geology of the earth had the oil that has been tapped so far, had never been touched? Or the coal, or natural gas?If oil was not drilled and removed from the earth, what would have happenned to the areas that had that oil?
Check out the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles for your answer.

There on the grounds of the museum, natural oil seeps to the top of the earth's crust and forms the tar pits, sticky masses of oil the go deep into holes in the ground. Animals drinking the water on top of the tar would fall in, get stuck, and die. So did humans. The volunteers and archeologists are still cleaning out pits and finding fossils of ancient prehistoric creatures such as saber-toothed tigers and Woolly Mammoths to this day.

If oil had never been drilled, the same tar pits would have formed the same way.If oil was not drilled and removed from the earth, what would have happenned to the areas that had that oil?
the ozone would not be as thin as it is now and so it would be cooler and the air would be free of smog.
some areas can sink when oil is extracted, much like what happened to long beach, ca with thumbs islands. they took out too much oil without replenishing and a bridge began to sink, so they pumped saltwater back in and the land almost went back to its original elevation. f they continued to pull oil out without replacing it with water, most of long beach would become flooded. pumping oil isn't so bad, but refining it and burning it is very bad.

oh and depending on the shape and type of rock the oil is trapped under it will either remained trapped or seep out.
