Is Obama for drilling our own oil or is he against it?

Sounds like it is talking out of both sides of his mouth again? Does Obama ever take a stand on anything or is it always whatever he feels can get him more votes.Is Obama for drilling our own oil or is he against it?
Obama finally came out and admitted the other day that his goal was to get us ';off of oil in our lifetime.';


Nice.


Totally unrealistic. And shows what a moron he is.





We don't just pump oil into our gas tanks.


Only 40% of oil is used for gasoline.


Surprised?





The other 60% is used for aviation fuel and military uses (are we going to plug in airliners, fighter jets and Abrams tanks to recharge them?), agricultural and industrial uses, manufacturing, heating, paving roads, etc.


Then then there's things like deodorants, detergents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other products. Wouldn't we all be lovely?


How about plastics? Everything from the keys on your computer to plumbing pipes, covering for wiring, cellphones, Goretex, the soles of your shoes, artificial limbs, contact lenses, soda bottles, lightweight packaging, furniture, automobile parts, and frisbees.


Would be have to mine more metal ore or cut more trees for wood to replace the plastic? Wouldn't that hurt the environment more?





Obama is going for the cheap votes.


He's hoping that nobody thinks this through.





No one in today's world can give up oil and gas.


In the near and intermediate term, we need oil and gas.


We will always need it.





We have to drill here in the US and offshore. NOW.


Obama simply does NOT understand energy economics.


His energy ';plan'; is a disaster. For you, for me, for America.

He says he'll compromise, but he's really against it. He'd rather stay dependent on foreign oil while we wait on alternatives.

Because he had his inital opionon, but after research and talking to more experts he is begining to agree with it. Everyone is worried about how Obama changes his stance on everything, it's more like he's becoming more informative on issues, just like any other presidential canidate. Even McCain has flopped on a lot of the issues.

The other day he was against it and yesterday he was for it. By tomorrow I expect to see him on an oil rig helping the roughnecks drill for oll.

This guy has no core principles-he will say and do anything for votes
He,s for drilling in the appropriate places for our own oil.
I have no idea if he supports it or not. And neither does he.
McCain was for it, Obama was against but now saying he is for it. It's hard to keep track of what Obama is currently for or against.
He recognizes the need but knows long term it is not the solution.
