It just dawned on me that the loberals would keep the upper hand if they kept the rest of us oppressed.





Why drill for oil when you can control the masses, and keep them from being independent. The liberals want us dependent on big government.





What other reason would they have to keep us from freedom to have our own oil and not be at the mercy of our enemies like Hugo Chavez, and the Democratic Congress, taking away all of our liberties?





The operative words are power and control!

Indefinitely. They have the lowest rating of any congress in the history of the United States and it doesn't bother them one iota. Due to the fact that democrats rely on a suffering populace as does any socialist or marxist form of government, they will stone wall relief on oil until the bitter end.

Apparently there are things vastly more important to liberals than the livelihoods of American citizens. Sad really.
Maybe you guys should think about the fact that fossil fuels won't be around for ever, and stop playing the blame game. Maybe we all should.

How much longer will the neocons and neolibs hold out against a carbon tax to increase the cost of oil? Most other countries tax oil so that the environmental consequence is accounted for. We are running out of oil, but executives are short-sighted and look to the next quarter profits. The government must step in and impose much larger costs in the form of carbon tax or carbon caps.
