Will You Thank the Dems for Not Drilling when Oil Hits $185 Before Sept. & Heating Oil is $7/gal.?

... before next winter?

Aren't you glad they stopped us from drilling and building nuclear plants for the past many years?

I think the polar bears will survive next winter. But, I wonder how many American grandmas will suffer and how many blue collar moms and dads won't be able to pay their bills because of gasoline and heating bills. Will You Thank the Dems for Not Drilling when Oil Hits $185 Before Sept. %26amp; Heating Oil is $7/gal.?
we are not only fighting the liberal dems but the eco freaks as well on fox news this afternoon some eco freak said that the liberal democrats need to pass a law that no more carbon (coal and oil) can be taken out of the ground. i was wondering what planet this nut case came from. a dem senator was also on and he would not discuss drilling or more refineries with neal cavuto. they just don't get it that they are to blame for all of this mess and believe me it is going to get worse before it gets better mr doodlesWill You Thank the Dems for Not Drilling when Oil Hits $185 Before Sept. %26amp; Heating Oil is $7/gal.?
1. The GOP had control of the W.H, the Congress and the Senate for 6 years. Ask them why they didn't decide to drill.

The answer is that it would take more than 10 years to actually get the oil out and it would cost more than what the oil is worth because there isn't enough there to be profitable.

2. As far as nuclear plants are concerned. They are way too expensive to build and not profitable. Therefore, not even wallstreet investors or venture capitalists are willing to invest in them. Why should the American people invest in nukes when they are unsafe to deal with the waste and they are nothing but a huge expense when it would be much more affordable and far more renewable to invest in solar, geothermal, wind and wave power.

Actually it would be nice to have an energy policy. Bush's energy policy to date is going to Saudi Arabia and begging the Saudi's to up the release of oil on the market. WOW, what a great energy plan that is! (Sarcasm intended).
Jimmy Carter had implemented a true Energy Policy which granted tax incentives and grants for R%26amp;D into Renewable and clean alternative energy sources. He wanted us import no more than 20% of our OIL from foreign sources by 2002.

Reagan came into office and pulled the Solar Panels off of the WH and turned up the Thermostat at the behest of his BIG Energy benefactors.......

So you tell me where the blame lies......BTW do y'all drive an SUV?
I have the democrats to thank for lots of things I don't like!

But I believe it's the decline in value of the American

Dollar and it shrank so much next to the value of Big Oil that it

made it appear that oil price got out of hand,,,we need to shore up our currency or stop whinning about the price

of fuel.
I thank them everytime I go to the pump I just wish they were standing next to me.
Bush had seven years to come up with a sensible energy policy, and instead he let the oil industry, his pals, write the policy for him. You want to blame someone? Look in your own house.
and why didn't Bush do it when he had a Republican congress????
Yes. And I think the folks in Congress who actually understand and care about energy policy ----

Don Young, Shimkus, Peterson (PA), Blunt, Boehner, Sali, Bishop (UT), Pearce, Boren (dem), Ortiz (dem), to name a few... ---

Should help us thank Pelosi and her minions by introducing a bill similar to the ';NOPEC'; bill they pushed through this week. That bill makes it possible to sue OPEC in U.S. courts by making it illegal to ';limit the production and distribution'; of oil.

The new bill should be called the ';DOPEC';, short for the Domestic Oil Production Exclusion Cartel, more charitably known as the Democratic Majority... and it would allow Americans to sue the real culprits behind $135/barrel oil and $5/gallon gas.

For 30 years Democrats and their close friends in the radical environmental community have successfully locked-up, restricted, or discouraged development of America's huge reserves of oil, natural gas, and coal - roughly 75% of the energy sources that fuel this country. They've also put the brakes on nuclear, hydro (the most proven, prolific source of renewable energy), coal to liquid fuels, oil shale, gas hydrates, and the enormous amount of biomass energy we could produce if they allowed us manage our National forests instead of letting them burn... to name a few.

The only thing left unopposed, really, is solar power - the most expensive and most insignificant source of energy in the world....

So yes, thank you Mr. Pelosi.
Pardon me, miss, but your stupid is showing.

The fact that many Americans can't affor automobile gas or heating oil is not the fault of Dems not drilling in the US.

It is the fault of the oil companies gouging us because we are still hooked on their drug.

It is the fault of every American who would rather pay a little more at the pump than take public transportation.

It is the fault of all those who don't want to make the switch to renewable resources because it might inconvenience them.

It is the fault of a President who has the audacity to claim that we are addicted to oil and then does nothing to curb that addiction.

It is America's fault that America is paying too much for something. We have had plenty of time to come up with something better. There are better alternatives. We are just too lazy to make the necessary change.

And the fact that some will suffer this winter and we still won't change our ways only indicates how apathetic we are to the needs of our fellow Americans. That is indeed sad.

But, before you try to blame just the Democrats for not drilling, ask yourself what happened from 2000 to 2006 when Repukes controlled all three branches of government. They could have drilled. Oh yeah, I forgot, if we drilled, and IF we ever saw oil from ANWRR, that would increase production and lower prices. But don't forget Shrub and Cheny are oil men. The last thing they and their owners want is lower prices.

Drilling for oil here would just perpetuate the problem, not solve it. So yes, I do thank the Dems every day.

Five dollar gas, yippiee!!! We earned it!!!!!
This has nothing to do with drilling it has to do with greed %26amp; Bush being in office %26amp; you know it.
Yes, also thank Democrats for their trade deals with communist China. The Department of Justice showed Democrat politicians took money from China and the Department of Justice forced the politicians to return the money. Not one Democrat politician went to jail under Clinton's administration for the bribery.

Also, vote against building refineries. That is a national security issue. Currently America is importing gasoline because there are not enough refineries in America.

Democrats voted against the refinery bill. 99% of Republicans supported it and 92% of Democrats opposed it.
