Oil drops without drilling?

Conservation and better efficiency also result in a decline in demand which reduces prices.

We could reduce our enrgy consumption by 40 % or more, by simple conservation and such could be performed within a year.Oil drops without drilling?
The drilling that the goes with ';Drill baby Drill';? We won't see any of that production for another ten years if they started last month. Oil is dropping for a couple of reasons, first, less demand because people can't afford to fill up their cars, and two we are about to elect a new president. The repubs want people to think that they can keep the prices down so that you'll vote for them. Oil drops without drilling?
Please people, just spend a few minutes out of your day to truly educate yourself. The price of oil dropped because the demand worldwide has dropped. In fact, it dropped so much, that our 'enemy oil countries' ie. Iran, Venezuela, are demanding OPEC to allow them to slow production so the prices will raise again. We need to drill here so we aren't continually under the thumb of 'terrorist' oil.
And the price will increase without demand ,as well. How's it feel to be a pawn in a game of Kings.......';and the commoners took up weapons,of many types, and the castle assaulted,and the King was slain, and wealth was equally distributed among all.......';
Because Top Executives are looking at Jail from Congress.

Now it's cover your *** time, you stole billions from america in a last ditch effort. We are running out and killing the planet. Whats the next big thing ? Vehicles to run on Hydrogen or Hydrogen/electric hybrid ?
So? You think it's going to stay down?

And the price of oil isn't the ONLY reason that becoming energy independent is important. It's so we don't have to be always at the mercy of countries who REALLY don't like us. Why is that hard to understand?
Be prepared for an increase. OPEC has just had their meeting and they're now cutting their production by 1.5 million barrels a day. This is because of the lower pricing and will now result in increases.

Too bad we're not drilling, eh?
Maybe you haven't heard but this country is in a major financial mess that is having a major effect on the rest of the world. Even GOLD is down in value. Why would oil be any different.
Just wait, Saudi is lowering production, and the price will soar. If we were already in production, then it wouldn't matter what the camel jockey's do, we would have our own!

Oil dropped without implementing MORE regulations?!?!?

Strange how Americans can adapt without relying on the Government doing things for them.
It is the threat of drilling. Possible competition will drive prices down to keep the mind off of oil, in hopes people will not want to drill.
It's matching the drop in the economy, you wont need gas if you're not going to work.
