Hey, I am just wondering, since we have the deepest part in the Atlantic Ocean (Puerto Rican Trench) a few miles up north.Do you honestly think we'll find oil if we drill deep into puerto rican soil?
For the reason you mention, I think it is unlikely you'll find oil. Oil is found around stable tectonic zones with few earthquakes. Because Puerto Rico is on an active plate boundary, any oil has long since seeped away or was never trapped in the first place.
Instead Puerto Rico is far more likely to be home to gold or silver mines.
