Are you FOR or AGAINST the USA drilling for oil in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, etc?

many citizens in the USA say we need to be self reliant on oil. To do so, we would need to drill for oil in areas such as Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, of the shore of the countries coasts, etc. Would you be against it or for the drilling? Why? Why not?





Please note this, drilling in the Gulf of Mexico or off the coasts of the country would be many miles off the coast and not withing ';eyesite'; of the coasts.Are you FOR or AGAINST the USA drilling for oil in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, etc?
Deffinetly, if its the next best thing we can do. I would much rather be using hydrogen or electric for energy over oil. This country is just so reliant on oil that if one little change occurs it could dramatically effect us.





And we really need to get rid of this stupid mindset that we rely on oil compainies. But the fact is, oil companys rely on us. If we decided to use hydrogen or electric cars for getting us to work and schools, the oil companies are doomed. We shouldn't be scared of them, they should be scared of us.





But back to the matter of drilling in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, We deffinetly need to. We can't rely on Iran or Saudi Arabia to get us our oil. Theres just so much anti western propaganda over there its not safe for us to rely on them for oil.Are you FOR or AGAINST the USA drilling for oil in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, etc?
The people against drilling in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico are America-hating leftists who want to enjoy all the benefits of our society while crippling us at the same time. I say drill everywhere we can find oil, including my back yard if I'm lucky enough to have oil here.
against.....we need to get off the reliance on oil completely, there's quite a few technologies that can replace such needs, but are being held back by the multiple factors of initial costs, politics, and the oil companies' lobbyist buddies in DC
Im against using nonrenewable resources period. i feel that we should convert to nuclear power, like France did, and use more electric cars. Over there their energy costs are 30% lower than ours, and their money is worth MORE.
For, it helps our econemy and means we don't have fund terrorist groups and mass murder in order to get our oil. Oil drilling can be done carefully and not harm the enviorment.

Yep...drill away, and/or the people that continue to vote against it should make up the cost out of our pockets.
